By comparison to the air around it. The marshmallow is the purest absence of chocolate, like a black hole is the absence of everything except gravity. By including the plush white cushion in the cup or bowl, the chocolate becomes the anti-marshmallow, and so, even more appreciably, richly chocolate. Thus, the true goal of the experience - to wring the most enjoyment possible out of an 8oz. cup of foamy brown liquid - has been realized with the addition of a simple marshmallow. It doesn't just flow, lazily, in warm streams, lulling you into a sleepy, sated reverie. Love messes you up. It gets fluff on your face. It sticks to your nose. It embarasses you in public. It distracts you, so you don't that what's coming may be too hot to handle. Love is bothersome and chewy. Feather light, but hard to swallow. Hot chocolate without a marshmallow? Carefully place them on top of the brew, And sit down and enjoy with a friend or two. Check that it's cool and not hot, hot, hot, Or your tongue might be scorched believe me or not! As the chocolate and marshmallows blend into one, You're up for a treat that's also much fun. Slowly the mixture will slide into your mouth, And it will quickly head South. A white mustache might cover your lips, But this is part of the wonderful trip. This beverage is enjoyed on a wintry day, It will warm up your body is what I say. But winter is not the only time for this treat, All seasons are good for chocolate and marshmallow to meet.
