Who would have thought that the resurrection of Amar Chitra Katha comics would happen in Allentown, Pennsylvania? Or that the man behind the resurrection is a Bengali called Grandpa? But that's exactly what Kanai L. Mukherjee, founder and president of the Association of Grandparents of Indian Immigrants is doing. In an attempt to retain Indian mythology among urban kids, Mukherjee has given Amar Chitra Katha comic books a multimedia makeover.
